What we stand for

The staff at The Premier Group are involved in multiple charities and strongly believe that a healthy business should be judged on its commitment to the community and not just on the company stock price. Having left successful positions at much bigger, more well-known companies, they have joined The Premier Group to watch their hard work and company revenue be passed on to those who are in greater need. From helping feed the homeless, to children battling cancer, for every dollar The Premier Group puts towards their net profits, a significant percentage of it will find its way back towards helping those in greater need.

About St. Baldrick's Foundation

st

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

  • It takes all of us.
On March 17, 2000, in New York City, the first St. Baldrick’s event was held, creating a fun and unique way to align people behind children with cancer. Today, the Foundation is highly respected and growing fast, providing serious and thoughtful leadership in the search for cures.

  • It takes unique events.
St. Baldrick’s signature head-shaving events are the fastest growing volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefitting childhood cancer research. Participants are surprised how much the experience means to them, and say St. Baldrick’s is the greatest thing they’ve ever done for charity. However, if head shaving isn’t for you, there are many ways to be a hero for kids with cancer. Contact us to learn more: SBInfo@StBaldricks.org.

  • It takes inspiration.
Many St. Baldrick’s volunteers choose to participate in honor of St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids, whose stories are shared on the Foundation’s website and represent the 160,000 kids diagnosed with cancer each year worldwide. Once again St. Baldrick’s has chosen five of its Honored Kids to serve as the Foundation’s 2012 Ambassador Kids, representing the startling reality that one in five kids diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive.

  • It takes funding the very best.
The Foundation is a leading force in the childhood cancer community and has become the place to fund the best research wherever it takes place; the kind that will save precious young lives and improve quality of life for patients and survivors.

  • It takes life-saving research.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Since the Foundation’s first grants as an independent charity in 2005, it has funded more than 78 million USD in life-saving childhood cancer research.

St. Baldrick’s does one thing and they do it well: fund childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick’s takes great care of the funds raised by volunteers and supporters to direct every possible dollar to carefully selected research grants. Whether it’s through signature head-shaving events, partnerships or advocacy initiatives, their primary focus is to have the greatest impact for kids with cancer around the world.

Childhood Cancer Research

In the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease — more than AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and diabetes combined. And yet, all types of childhood cancers combined receive only 4% of the U.S. federal funding for cancer research.
